The Texas High School Mountain Bike League will host the second race of the season at Reveille Peak Ranch on Sunday, March 24.
The Texas High School Mountain Bike League was organized in 2010 to provide competitive mountain biking programs for students in grades 9 to 12. The League is a youth development non-profit focused on high school students. The League’s core values are being inclusive to build strong a character and mind in high school student athletes. The Texas League works to establish and maintain safe, quality high school mountain bike programs while building camaraderie and lifelong cycling skills.
The League is actively recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers to help with the race season. Experience is not necessary; Texas League trainers will be on site as needed. The League is also encouraging anyone to form a team. High school students without a team can start one or race as an independent rider.
Anyone interested in racing in the League, coaching or just helping out, can contact Vance McMurry, 512-517-8946, firstname.lastname@example.org.
Cross-country mountain biking is a fantastic way to help kids build confidence, independent and critical thinking and lifelong fitness. Reveille Peak Ranch is very proud to be a Platinum sponsor and help the League foster an appreciation for outdoor activity and the value of cycling as a lifelong sport!
Onsite camping is available and primitive/tent campsites are free for League racers and their families the night of March 23.
PLEASE NOTE: RPR trails will be open for mountain biking and trail running on March 23. Trails crossing the race course (the new League Loop) on Sunday, March 24 will be closed from 8 am until 2 pm. See the RPR trail map
